MCC Pakistan Transformational Story Through Cricket

Ikhlaq Bashir:

He lives in a village called Nawankot (two hours’ drive from Lahore). He joined MCC Lahore seven years ago. He is a brilliant left arm spin bowler and a great hard hitting batter. We called him to Lahore when he was serving as a laborer in a vegetable market. He was illiterate and have no idea of God and city life. Ikhlaq was a simple but very hard working person.

After spending a couple of years in our MCC Lahore (the main hub of MCC in Pakistan), he worked hard on his cricket skills and started learning to read and write Urdu. Now, he can read the Bible and playing cricket at very good level. Later on he gave his life to the Lord and accepted Jesus as his personal savior. He played grade 2 cricket under Pakistan cricket board. He is number one left arm spin bowler in Christian community in Pakistan.

He is serving in his village as a catalyst and there are more than 50 players in his MCC Nawankot. He is discipling them and planted a church through cricket. His all family members are changed and serving the Lord. We arranged his job as a coach in very good school, he is earning a good salary and serving as a salt and light among the majority community. Ikhlaq is a great evangelist in the cricket world in Pakistan. He is a fruit of MCC cricket ministry in this unique and unreached country.
